The housing market continued to be sluggish. The Market Hotness Index dropped to 100.36 for the week ending August 25th from 100.69 the prior week. Although mortgage rates dropped to 6.35%, the housing market remains slow. Monroe County, New York, continues to be the most competitive housing area.
